Final rehearsals for Year-end Plays are underway! Costume ideas are being tried out, and everyone can't wait to get on stage on Saturday!

Rehearsals are in full swing for our Year-End Play productions.  The culmination of a year of development and fun!

Call answered!

We put out a call for more actors for our Youth Theater, and it was answered.

So glad you could all join us!

Soon we will start rehearsals!  Our Year-End Play productions are the highlight of the year.  The Youth Theater class that meets on Tuesday evenings is desperately seeking some new actors to help fill the stage.

Confidence and Respect

It is our aim to teach children to be confident, comfortable in their own skins, and respectful of others. The dramatic arts is an excellent vehicle to promote these skills.

We're Ba-a-ack!

After the mid year break all classes are up and running again. 
It is an exciting term where we introduce the Year-end Play line-up, and start rehearsals.

Making our Academy Better and Better!

Term Two has ended on a high, with wonderful Parent Day Presentations and a Whacky Week. Time for a recharge of batteries and reflection. But first, before the break, we Helen O Grady Principals get together for our annual seminar where we exchange ideas, encourage each other, brush up in our teaching with some training, and endeavor to make sure your children are getting the best from our expertise! This year we gathered in Johannesburg for two days of wonderfully inspiring activities and information, which I hope when implemented will give our Bloemfontein Academy students even more of a leg up when it comes to confident communication and performance skills.

I am on my way to Australia as I type this, but am looking forward to getting started again for term Three when I get back.

It's Parent Day Presentation Time!

We have been practicing for Parent Day Presentations which mark the end of Term Two.  Students and parents alike always look forward our fun presentations.  Bring friends and family!

 

We had our first one today!  Well done Friday St James studio.

Full steam ahead!

Holidays are all over now and so we are back up and running full tilt from this week till the end of the term (I WILL be teaching voting day Wednesday too)!  Do not miss class, as we have our fun-filled Parent Day Presentations at the end of this term and lots to prepare for! 

Improvisation builds life-skills!

Action filled Improvs are what we do well! Youth Theater and Upper Primary classes really getting into character.

Classes on Friday's are held at St James Church, Heuwelsig.
